is Wachovia Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Wachovia Regional Foundation. She came to this position with extensive banking and nonprofit experience. Since 1984, Denise has worked at Wachovia in commercial banking and has specialized in healthcare, education, and government banking. Her most recent position at Wachovia before joining the Foundation was Vice President and Manager of Government Underwriting and Portfolio Management for the Northeast Region. Before coming to Wachovia, she served as Chief of Staff for the
President of the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career

in commercial banking at Chemical Bank (Chase) in New York.
Denise is a board member of Harcum College, the Achievement Foundation, Inc., and Delaware Valley Grantmakers Association. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Award. She holds a BA in mathematics and psychology from Wellesley College and a MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
