Earl Jarrett

Earl Jarrett F.C.A., M.Sc. Hons. joined the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) in May 1997 as an Executive with responsibility for Compliance and Overseas Subsidiaries. In 1998 he was promoted to acting General Manager and subsequently appointed General Manager in October 1999. Mr Jarrett is Director of the Society’s Board as well as all its local and overseas subsidiaries.

A former student of St George’s College and Excelsior Community College, he pursued his tertiary education at the University of the

West Indies from which he graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Accounting in 1984. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.

Mr Jarrett also holds various positions in organizations including Executive Board member of the Caribbean Association of Housing Finance Institutions; Trustee of the Dudley Grant Memorial Trust; Director of the Gleaner Company (UK) and North American Boards; and one of three Vice Presidents of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica. His involvement in social outreach programmes includes being Chairman of the Jamaica Cancer Society; Chairman of the YMCA Trust Fund; and Patron of the Best Care Lodge.
