Lorraine Holmes-Settles is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and serves as President and Founding Partner of The AFRAM Group, a full-service fund raising firm based in Washington, D.C. She is also a partner and senior consultant to the internationally-known fund development firm, Skystone Ryan.
A champion of the nonprofit sector she has provided international, national, and local organizations with expertise and skills in major gifts, annual funds, board development, capital campaigns, executive search, and in the conduct of development
assessments and on-site interim management.

Ms. Settles holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware with honors and a M.A. degree from Howard University in organizational communications. She has served as past president of the Greater Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and on the AFP Foundation National Board of Directors. She is a longtime member of the Association of Fund Raising Officers, Inc. (AFRO, Inc.) and serves as a regular consultant to the National Center for Black Philanthropy.
