Nicole W. Sharpe |
|
Nicole W. Sharpe was recruited to join the University of the West Indies Development & Endowment Fund as the new Executive Director In 2001. A citizen of St Vincent and the Grenadines with strong Caribbean roots. Ms. Sharpe relocated to Jamaica from Westchester, New York to fulfill her personal commitment to devote her skills and talents to the continued advancement of the Caribbean region. Helping the University; a regional institution of higher education to survive the uncertainties of economic hardship is to Ms Sharpe both an exciting challenge and means of fulfilling her promise to assisting Caribbean regional development.

Prior to joining the learn. Ms. Sharpe owned Chapman Sharpe Improvements. Inc., a construction firm that specialized in the rehabilitation of historical buildings in Brooklyn. NY. In addition, she served as the Deputy Director of the Central Brooklyn Partnership, Inc., a nonprofit which focused on financial sell sufficiency and empowerment for the Central Brooklyn Community. Ms. Sharpe graduated from New York University with a Masters in Public Administration with a specialization in Finance. She is the mother of a beautiful daughter.
