Becky Stockhausen

Becky Stockhausen is Executive Director of The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica, a post she has held since 1999/an organization that she has served since 1995 in different capacities.
Under her astute leadership, and that of the AMCHAM Board of Directors, on December 4, 2003, in Washington, D. C., The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica, one of the smallest of 100 AmChams in 83 countries, was awarded by U. S. Secretary of Commerce, Don Evans, the most prestigious honor that can be
bestowed upon American Chambers operating outside of the

U. S.--the U. S. Chamber of Commerce “International American Chamber Award for 2003”, world-wide, based on their “Heal Jamaica Anti-Crime Initiative”.
In Jamaica, (4) weeks later, on Thursday, January 8, 2004, AMCHAM was the recipient of “The Gleaner Merit Award, in the category of “Voluntary Service”, for 2003, “in recognition of its work in helping to reform the Police Force and work in inner-city communities.”.
Mrs. Stockhausen, a native of Ohio attended the University of Akron; and is a Year 2000 Graduate of the Institute for Organization Management, a five (5) year management course for Chamber Executives, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Becky was the first “ex-pat” invited to join the Board of Directors of the New York-based charitable organization, “American Friends of Jamaica”.
