Rodney Davis

Rodney S. Davis was born in Kingston, Jamaica and migrated to Canada at the age of three. He received his primary, secondary and tertiary education in Canada where he graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management in 1989. The following year he passed the Uniform Final Examinations to become a Chartered Accountant with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA, ICAO) and in 1992 he completed his mandatory work experience and was awarded the designation Chartered Accountant recognized by both the Canadian and Ontario Institutes of Chartered

Accountants. In 2003, Mr. Davis became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.

Mr. Davis has a strong track record in successful change management, including corporate restructuring, business turnaround and improvement as well as acquisition negotiation and execution. He also has considerable experience in many essential components of business management including strategic planning, corporate finance and business development.

His work has afforded him exposure to the inner workings of numerous industries including newspaper publication, event management, finance, software, management consulting and telecommunications.

He has held various senior positions in several prestigious companies including Partner in Charge of the Jamaica Office and Director of Corporate Finance – Mergers & Acquisition with Ernst & Young in Jamaica, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Cable & Wireless in Barbados and at MGI Software in Canada, Vice President Corporate Development at Maxxcom Inc in Canada and Vice President and Corporate Controller at Southam Inc also in Canada. Mr. Davis now heads one of the largest corporations in the Caribbean as President and CEO of Cable & Wireless Jamaica.
