Ruth Jankee

Ruth Jankee is the General Manager of the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation. She is responsible for the reorganization and management of the Foundation, inclusive of identifying and meeting strategic goals and objectives established in recognition of the role and functions of JNBS in Jamaica and the wider diaspora.
Ms. Jankee’s career has spanned private, public and civil society sectors, working locally in the area of HIV/AIDS with primary focus on advocacy and policy development. Prior to her appointment at the JN Foundation she was Executive Director, National AIDS

Committee which is responsible for coordinating multi-sectoral responses to HIV/AIDS in Jamaica. During her tenure Ms. Jankee liaised with stakeholders, including government ministries, international donor community, NGOs/CBOs, private sector and persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Between 1994 and 2000, Ms. Jankee served as the Executive Director of the Jamaica Foundation for Children overseeing the identification, development and implementation of projects which impact on the lives of children. She is a graduate University of New York, Certificate in Integrated Marketing Communication Strategies; University of East Anglia, Norwich, England, Masters Degree in International Child Welfare; University of New Orleans, Certificate in Project Management and Institute of Management and Production (IMP), Certificate in Essentials of Management.
